Current University Expertise:

My primary research involves the GIS-based analysis of radar reflectivity data from landfalling tropical cyclones with the goal of predicting where high rainfall totals will occur. I also research rainfall patterns on a climatologic scale, examine tropical cyclone trajectories, and have worked with social scientists to associate weather with socio-economic data and study the hurricane evacuation intentions of tourists.
